THE EXAGGERATED EPOCH OF EDWARD O'HARE
Follow the somewhat loosely translated tales of Edward O'Hare with his son Alex and grandson Colin. Watch his mundane stories from his youth turned into grand fantasy adventures lovingly recreated by his grandsons toybox! Fight fierce monsters, solve puzzles, and explore the land.
CREATING THE WORLD
Initially, the team and I wanted to create a game that not only was affected by narration, but also dealt with seeing your past through rose tinted glasses. We landed on a concept that portrayed a grandfather telling stories from his childhood with a goofy, action fantasy twist. We felt that a strong narrative could be made by comparing this romanticized world with reality.
DUAL NARRATIVES
What was unique about creating the story for Edward O'Hare was how there were two stories happening simultaneously. The story that Edward is telling to Colin, and the relationship between the three characters that at first appear totally separate. However, as more information is revealed about the characters, you begin to discover how the tale directly connects to the relationship between the characters.
